Whey Protein Isolate

I use this almost every day of my life, sometimes twice!  This is plan-approved and seriously good.  When I started this page, the Piping Rock whey protein isolate was only $10.99 with free shipping on every order.  Then it rose to $11.99 with free shipping on orders of $50 or more.  That must have been a special offer, though, and I can’t find it online for that price, anymore.

I am not afraid to personally endorse this product because I really believe in it! Check out their other products, too, which are reasonably priced.

My daughter and I usually order five or six whey proteins at a time so we don’t have to order as frequently, but we try to watch for sales and free shipping offers. It’s not like we won’t use it!

The texture is a very fine powder. It reminds me of the Swanson’s.  I can’t tell a difference in how it looks, feels or tastes.

As some of you have noticed, Piping Rock says that five level scoops is one serving. You may think that’s a lot, but the scoops are much smaller than the one in the Swanson’s tub.  (*Edit:  In fact, I’ve recently measured it, and it turns out that Piping Rock’s little blue scoop is equal to one tablespoon.)

Also the Piping Rock tubs are smaller, but, as some of you may have noticed, Swanson uses a bigger tub than necessary to hold the volume of the product they ship. The Piping Rock tubs are about three-quarters full.

In the 001photo, the scoop on the left is the one from Swanson’s, and the blue scoop on the right came in the tub of Piping Rock. (It’s like a huge doonk!) I have measured out five level scoops of the Piping Rock and put them into a Swanson’s scoop. It looks a little like an ice cream scoop heaped up on top, but that is what five scoops of Piping Rock looks like in a Swanson’s scoop for those who are apprehensive about ordering it.

A serving is five blue scoops, and a serving is 25 grams of protein. Four level blue scoops of Piping Rock is equal to one Swanson-sized scoop. That means if you use a level Swanson’s scoop of the Piping Rock, you’re still getting 20 grams of protein. That’s good enough for me, and that’s what I’m going to do.

  1. THANK YOU so much for sharing your journey. I have messed up many times in trying to learn what is “on plan” and what is not. So a lot has been wrong on my end. But a am THANKFUL for those who have gone before me and who are willing to share and that is like popping the balloon and letting all of the PRESSURE out. Grateful for you and others like you who I believe want us all to win in the battle of becoming THM.
    Have a BLESSED Day!

  2. Dirinda, Thank you I am still trying to learn how this plan works, It would help if I finished my book. LOL So far I just have kind of picked out recipes and followed the first half of the book. I am afraid I don’t have it totally right and that is why I keep loosing and gaining the same 8 pounds. 🙁

    1. Kathy, it is a hard battle, to be sure. I probably don’t have everything completely right, either. I’ve hit a plateau that has lasted over a month. Having said that, I believe I am still losing inches. I have to keep reminding myself that I didn’t balloon up to this size in just a year, so it will take me longer to get rid of it, too!
